L x 4.75 in. This beautiful black lacquer box is from the village of Kholui (300 km from Moscow). It was painted by the artist N. The artist is not a very well-known, but shows to have excellent, artistic abilities.

This is not an original design from the artist. The box was painted in 1979 and is called "Dobrynya and Dragon". However, the quality of the work is fantastic. The original paperwork is included.

This was inside a large display case (it has been handled/used, therefore, not in'perfect' condtion), from an estate of an antique dealer (deceased) who had a successful antique / art business. He had traveled extensively to sell unique and upscale items/goods for his shop. The photos display exactly what you will receive please note that lighting, cameras, computer may alter the color in photography.
