Palekh miniature is a Russian folk craft of miniature painting, which is made with tempera paints on lacquered papier-mâché products. The box in the Palekh style was made by the famous, very talented and very experienced artist Vasyl Varnavov. The artist works in the tradition of the Palekh school, using tempera paints. The plots of his works are different.
A distinctive feature of the artist's work is the subtlest and most accurate depiction of even the smallest and seemingly unimportant details. Varnish box "Troika" is made in the manner usual for the artist, with observance of all traditions, but with the highest accuracy and a high level of execution.
The following materials were used in the work: papier-mâché, egg tempera, gold leaf and covered with Swedish varnish. The box is repainted to a mirror shine.
