Large Hand Painted Signed Russian Lacquered Box with Boy Playing Flute & 2 Girls
It's in very good condition, with some very small chips of the lacquer that came off but very small imperfections. The box features a boy sitting what appears to be in a forest or garden, and he's playing a flute with 2 girls beside trying to entertain them. The girls dresses are shiny in color tone there is some kind of metallic paint used for the dresses, which really brings life to the whole scene when you see it in person. You can see the attention to detail in all the parts of the scene, especially in the faces of the subjects which the artist did a terrific job of executing.
It's quite a nice lacquered box and It's a good size as well. The box measures approximately 6 1/2" long x 4" wide and stands at just under 2 1/2 high.
