Lacquer Russian box Magic carpet by Kurochkina Hand made and painted in Ukraine
The picturesque miniatures of the Fedoskino art school are known all over the world. Fedoskino Russian boxes are created by masters by hand, painted with thin white tassels, silver or mother-of-pearl and paints created according to an ancient recipe. The mineral dye is mixed with egg yolk, water and vinegar, obtaining bright, rich colors.
The box shows a picturefrom Russian fairytale Magic carpet. The drawing is made in the Fedoskino technique, very thin and professional, the composition is thought out to the smallest detail, the drawing and the sides are framed with a thin gold ornament. An important detail is that in the middle of the box is neatly finished with red velvet, which gives the box a special charm.
