IGMA Artist Mary Grady O'Brien 1989 Hand Painted Bride's Box Dollhouse Mini 112

Always check back to this first line on all my listings for notifications about sales or discount offers. DESCRIPTION- Wonderful hand painted Mary Grady O'Brien Oval Bride's Box. This is a gorgeous & delicate box that is very well painted. Some are very good, but this one is excellent. The colors are truly great & scarcer than the normal russet tone you usually see or the less common green & is a desirable powder blue color. The writing in German is so tiny & delicate that it's hard to believe it was painted by hand even though it was. The lid comes off though not easily & definitely not loose.

This box came with a paper with the translation of this & I have it somewhere in one of many boxes, will try to find it & add that info or send it with it. There is a very faint 88 on the bottom of this box in pencil, so I believe it was made in 1989 & had a paper label that has come off.

I have a tray of hers with hand written paper label. There is no signature, but I 100% guarantee this to be made by her.

Measures not quite 5/8" tall X 7/8" wide X 1 & 3/8 long. CONDITION- Excellent vintage condition, no issues, like-new. There are two extremely tiny white spots on the back side that are actually white paint debris from when this was made. I studied them with a loupe & this is original & not damage, no paint is missing anywhere. Our previous 21 years experience with antiques enables us to have a discerning eye when it comes to proper scale in miniatures.
