Chinese Jian ware Bowl Hares Fur w box Tenmoku Tea Song Dynasty-yuan Jin Gong Yu

Very fine quality old Chines. E Jian ware hares fur glaze bowl. A very nice piece and. Quite attentively formed and glazed and not as heavilly potted as a lot of jian ware bowls of this type with a good evenly covered. Glaze nicely controlled around the base with no glaze drips and with correct "hares fur" tones on a black. Clay body with brown slip base (the brown slip has worn thin on small areas on the corners of the footrim exposing the black clay body) with a GongYu incised mark. Seems of good age but still very solid and would display very nicely. Major issues, some kiln imperfections including pin prick sized contractions and small bubbles, a few small rim chips, some light surface marks and minor glaze crazing all round but no other damages and no repairs.

Measures approximately 4.75 inches (12.2 cm) across.
