Antique French Dresser Box with Hand Painted Mountain View and Key
This antique French box is made of dark brown wood with a carved top, sides and a hand painted center medallion. The painting in the center is a depiction of I believe Mont Blanc (written as Montblanc) with a refuge in the foreground. The box is very well made with mitered corners and blue velvet lining.
There is a lock and working key. The painting is marked at the bottom as shown.
Condition of the box is very good considering age, there is some fading to one side of the velvet inside and a faint hairling on the bottom near one of the feet.
