Antique French Bronze Hand Painted Ormolu Miniature Portrait Trinket Jewlery Box with Mother of Pearl inserts on Lid. This beautiful ornate antique French Bronze Box has a hand painted miniature portrait of a woman on the top. The portrait is sign by the artist.
There is glass the covers the painting, and the inside it has the original velvet lining. I think it is marked something on the bottom of the box, but I cannot make it out. I have not found any other markings. It has beautiful detail around the whole box, and I have shown photos of all sides. The size is 4 1/2" long, by 3" deep by 1 high. The box could use a good cleaning, but I know some people like the old patina, so I will leave that to the new owner. This is an amazingly beautiful box. Please see all the pictures for condition.(There is a reflection on the portrait in some of the pictures). The portrait is really clear and perfect.
