A rare antique 18 th century fan. The mount is carved in mother of pearl with sheer translucent MOP inserts behind the carved gilt figures. Each guard stick has 3 inserts of variuous enamel medallions figuring playing cherubs. The leaf figuring Diana hunting is in strong and in good condition without tears to the upper edge. There is a tiny repair to the paper behind the left guard stick (see last picture please).

The back has a few yellow spots to the left side. The carved center of the mount is in perfect condition without loss and the translucent inserts are complete without breaks or loss (hard to find in this condition). There are a few flaws to the guards sticks near the medallions, some. Already repaired, but they are strong.
