RARE PERSIAN HAND PAINTED CHESS BOARD AND CHESS PIECE BOX. Bought this as I have a collection of Chinese & Persian boxes for display and just could not resist this wonderfully colourful. Unfortunately I cannot play chess and no room left on my display table to squeeze it into lol. When I bought it there were some brass chess pieces in the little Persian painted matching box that came with it. They are small metal with a mixed Roman theme. The pieces measure between 1 ½ inch to 2 inches. You may like to get a set that would look better with it, but they are included in the sale. Look at photos to appreciate how good it is. I have seen only one other on e-bay. I want a good home for it and so is priced to get it one.

The chess board has feet on and measures 14 inches across and the box is 5 inches across and 2 inches deep again. With little feet and red lining.
