Large Gorgeous Wavecrest C F Monroe Egg Crate Collars & Cuffs Box 6.5

Here is a beautiful large Wavecrest Art Glass Collars and Cuffs Box made by C F Monroe in the 1890s. It is from the mold often called the egg crate and it measures 6 1/2" square by 6" high. It has pretty hand painted flowers on it and gold plating on the band, hinge and clasp. Inside the silk lining is still in the top but it is very tattered.

It is there though, so you can see how it was put in and make a pattern to replace it. The box itself is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs.

The hinge and the clasp are good also and work like they are supposed to. This hard to find piece will make a great addition to your collection.
