Hand Painted Russian Lacquer Box, Fedoskino

Lovely small hand painted lacquer box titled: "Lyubana". Mother of pearl, gold detail, and iridescent green paint are used generously in the beautiful clothing of the maiden. Her veil is painted very realistically as well.

The backdrop is complex and evocative. The box itself is an unusual marbled green color, adorned with simple scan patterns along the sides. It is signed on the lower right corner but the signature is illegible.

The box rests on 4 round "feet". The fuzzy white line present in one of the views is a camera issue. There are NO cracks or defects present in the box itself!
