This is a Beautiful Russian Shell Lacquer box " Winter Fairy Tale". Gorgeous papier-mache lacquer box is hand painted in oil paint and blue foil on Mother of Pearl background. The lid is an abalone shell, the body is papier-mache and abalone shell and the box is hinged. Painted and signed by a Russian artist from the village of Fedoskino.

Decorated with small blue and transparent sequins and pearls. The size of this box is 5 inches X 6 1/2 inches X 2 1/4 inches high and finished with a high quality lacquer. The box is new, has never been handled, except to take pictures and comes from a smoke free home.
