An antique Chinese famille rose hand-painted porcelain lidded box the lid showing Li Bai the drunken poet and peerless historical figure from the seventeenth century Wu Shuang Pu in repose - there is a floral and insect design to the sides of the lid and the main body. The box has a slightly raised foot the rim of which is unglazed as is the raised top rim of the base and the inner rim of the lid. There is a Xianfeng iron red seal mark to the base. 7.5cm high including lid, 9.5cm wide.
In good antique condition with a feint star crack to the lid from manufacture (entirely underglaze) - there are two, small, adjacent restored losses to the raised inner rim of the base - there is a tiny loss to the rim of the lid - typical and expected minor manufacturing flaws.
